We completed a huge barn conversion.
The whole build had underfloor heating so first of all we had to source a carpet and an underlay that was below a certain tog rating to meet underfloor heating guidelines. With this the underlay had to be suitable for underfloor heating as well and the customer wanted it to feel soft underfoot.
We had to glue all of the gripper downstairs as our usual method of nailing would have damaged the underfloor pipes. Upstairs we was able to nail, as we used nails that would not penetrate the chipboard and therefore not damage the underfloor heating.
Our customer wanted no door strips between the bedrooms and landing as they wanted a seamless, free flowing effect upstairs so we joined the carpets all upstairs to give them their desired look.
